Google Funnel More Information to Campaign Managers

Google AdWords’ new feature, Search Funnels, will now allow you to map and record all the keywords used that lead up to a conversion; showing each keyword’s relevance.

Whereas previously you would only be able to view the keyword that was used for conversion, now you can track the process of how an initial query began and led to a conversion. < /p>

New Assisted Clicks and Impressions

Still in beta form, Google AdWords Search Funnels is expected to help make informed decisions for ads and campaigns. Assisted conversions, assisted clicks and impressions, first click analysis, last click analysis and time lag will now become useful reporting tools in AdWords.

Typically, when people are buying and browsing online their first click won’t always lead to a conversion. On their AdWords blog, Google use the example of buying a holiday. Someone might click on an ad with a specific keyword but not make a purchase. A couple of days later they might click on a different keyword that leads to the sale. The original keyword will be marked as an assist click. This will now make assist clicks and impressions valuable to the evaluation of all keywords.

Additionally, Search Funnels will allow you to see which keywords aren’t having any impressions or clicks which will help when budgeting for a campaign.

The roll-out is happening worldwide over the next few weeks with accounts chosen at random.
