Is SEO the fastest way to dominate Google?

Utilising search engine optimisation (SEO) is both the fastest and most economical way for businesses marketing to "dominate" Google, one sector commentator has claimed.

Gareth Owen, who provides website optimisation to some of the world's top marketers and who is set to hold a free webinar on the subject, says some of the simplest search engine marketing techniques can also be the most powerful.

And he adds that optimising a website is the most effective way of achieving higher search engine rankings and therefore more traffic.

Commenting on the forthcoming webinar, John Thornely, chief executive officer of Success-Webinars.com, says: "Many business people I talk to spend thousands on SEO consultants to get better search rankings for their websites."

In a recent post for Search Engine Watch, Eric Enge said that when businesses are building or redesigning their website, the first priority should be to consider the role SEO will play.

He added that it is "critical" to carry out keyword research before any coding begins.
