Will new search engine make searching safe?

A new search engine featuring a "unique" safe-searching system has attracted 500,000 visitors since it launched.
ImHalal could prove a useful tool for some specialist search engine optimisation campaigns as it filters content and warns users if their search results are likely to contain sexually explicit content, or other content which is forbidden under Muslim law.
And the site's first blog post also notes that its intentions are to work as a useful resource for Muslims, as well as a child protection aid.
Should the search engine judge content to be potentially explicit it will give it a star rating - with one star meaning the content is unlikely but potentially offending, and three stars meaning it almost certainly is.
If it is rated three stars, users will be unable to proceed to the site.
A spokesperson for the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre said that ImHalal and other tools were out there.
But she added that "there is no substitute for the children understanding the environment themselves".
