PPC performing well through Bing

Microsoft's new decision engine Bing is showing promising pay per click (PPC) performance, new research has revealed.

According to Adgooroo, the site is receiving some 22,450,000 visitors each month, while figures from Alexa reveal that it is within the top 50 websites, with 3.35 per cent of the global internet using population visiting it.

It adds that as of the year ending June 2009, Bing had grown its advertising base by 35 per cent, below Google's 52 per cent but Microsoft only unveiled its site at the beginning of the summer.

Furthermore, active PPC advertisers have been "holding steady" between 829,000 and 850,000, the news provider continues.

"It shows that at the very least, Bing is tempting many established pay per click advertisers to taste their service," Adgooroo notes.

And the Bing community website recently revealed that usage of the site increased eight per cent in June, while the number of users claiming they would be likely to recommend the service has doubled.
