Google has offered businesses a number of tips as part of a series focusing on increasing online traffic to websites, such as through search engine optimisation.
Writing on the Inside AdSense blog, Talia Brodecki, of AdSense Product Marketing, talked to Jack Herrick, the founder of wikiHow, which he hopes will become the largest how-to manual available on the web.
He notes that the articles which boast the highest quality content on the site receive hundreds of times more traffic than the unfinished or lower quality pages do.
"Don't settle for acceptable content, always strive to produce amazing content that your readers can't resist sharing," Mr Herrick states.
Once such quality has been created, it is important that it is promoted and he suggests encouraging people and businesses to share it is one way of achieving this.
His final recommendation is to make the web community a team, which will encourage a passionate response and lead to increased audience numbers.
Google has also been boosting its blog searching functions and recently announced the availability of its RSS and Atom feeds.
