After listening to the opinions of consumers on the need to access immediate data created by sites such as Twitter, Bing has made the decision to integrate the micro-blogging site's data with its search results.
In an announcement on the Microsoft search engine's community blog, Sean Suchter, general manager at the software manufacturer's Search Technology Center, said Bing was unveiling its first attempt at integrating more real time data into its search results.
He added that the process would begin with some of the more prolific Twitterers, including US environmental campaigner Al Gore and American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest.
"Starting [this week], when you search for these folks names in association with Twitter, you'll see their latest tweets come up in real time on Bing's search results," Mr Suchter explained.
The search query will include the person's latest tweets plus the option to see more similar content, he added.
Twitter recently announced that it applying to trademark the term "tweet" as it was "clearly" attached to Twitter from a brand perspective.
