In order to make a success of a search engine optimisation (SEO) campaign, it is important that a business recognises it should be a group effort.
Such is the assertion of Herndon Hasty, in a blog for Search Engine Watch, who stated that such a campaign can encompass everyone in an organisation from copywriters to developers and promoters.
"SEO covers so many different areas of your business and can involve so many people, that sharing information and strategies across any and all possible lines is not only preferable but should be a required part of any engagement," he added.
Mr Hasty stated that SEO was about sharing content with the rest of the world by making it searchable, easy to read and with a voice of authority.
With this in mind, he noted SEO should therefore be accessible across the company, while the workforce can also benefit from seeing the results of the campaign's success.
Writing for the same online resource, Eric Enge recently stated that another important factor of selling an SEO project is to choose suitable and achievable goals for it.
