Avoiding SEO mistakes

It is important that search engine optimisation (SEO) "has the power to resonate with as much visibility possible" in order for businesses to compete in a competitive market, one sector resource has claimed.

According to SEO Noobs, this means avoiding common mistakes and remaining diligent in delivering the seemingly simple aspects of URLs and keywords.

It states that it is essential that keywords are placed in the content in a place where they catch the eye and putting them in bold or highlighting them may also help to achieve greater results.

And site structure is also key and needs to be well organised to help search engines to understand the purpose of it, making a higher ranking more likely.

However, the article states that images are invisible to search engines and so using a picture in place of written content may not be advisable.

Finally, it claims that keywords should also be included in the URL in order to enhance the SEO of the site.

Writing on the TopRank Online Marketing Blog, Lee Odden recently stated that websites today also need to be social media-friendly.
