How to make money with SEO

There are more than two ways to make money using search engine optimisation (SEO), according to one expert.

In an article for SEOmoz, Randfish states that he is "notoriously against" surface-level analysis of the SEO profession but that he wished to offer a more thorough guide on boosting return on investment through SEO.

While there are a number of ways to attract traffic, not all of them bring in an income, he claims.

However, Randfish notes that there are a lot of ways to make cash online and that "nearly all of them" intersect with traffic acquisition, so when the two cross, SEO can be used.

He adds that SEO can be used to help in "nearly every aspect of business", including the buying cycle, branding and public relations and social activities users perform online.

"If humans use a search engine to influence their decisions, SEO is a marketing tactic businesses can apply to modify those behaviours in their favour," he concludes.

And on the subject of brand and networking, SEO Book's Peter D claims that these days SEO has more in common with traditional PR and marketing.
