When it comes to internet and social media marketing, businesses should be focussing on the basics this year, one expert has claimed.
Phil Turnbull, marketing manager at Hostway, said now was the time for marketers and advertisers to make sure their campaigns were more efficient to get the most out of the technology they had.
Speaking at the Technology for Marketing & Advertising event recently, he added: "A lot of people will be focussing on improving the processes and the techniques that they employ right now."
And businesses could look to place a greater focus on social media marketing or search engine optimisation (SEO), as this may be more cost effective than other advertising campaigns.
SEO Book's Aaron Wall recently stated that SEO was could be used to make a quality publishing business model profitable.
He explained that SEO could be done effectively or ineffectively and that it depended on how healthy the target market was, who was doing the work and how much they cared about the project.
