Is Yahoo's truth enough to appease?

Yahoo! has revealed the "truth" about its decision to auto-optimise sponsored search accounts, but for some commentators, this may well have exasperated the situation.
In recent weeks, the search engine organisation contacted advertisers informing them that it would be able to create advertisements and edit keywords.
Now, Yahoo!, in a post entitled The Truth About Account Optimisations, has revealed that the decision was made to boost the success of small to mid-sized advertisers, but will not delete keywords or ads from an account or alter its daily spending limit.
In addition, it points out that it is not mandatory, although Search Engine Land's Matt McGee explains that the service is opt out so advertisers have to inform Yahoo! if they do not want changes made.
However, in a post for Search Engine Roundtable, Rusty Brick states that Yahoo!'s response has implied that bloggers on the topic are either misinformed or "liars", a point he contests.
He suggests that Yahoo! should have informed advertisers about how they could opt out before the optimisation was turned on and that the organisation should have worked with bloggers, "as opposed to making us look like liars".
