Google's best kept secret

Pay per click (PPC) advertising could be changed in a "fundamental way" by utilising what one blogger calls Google's best kept secret.
Search Engine Watch's David Szetela is talking about the Google Conversion Optimiser - which was recently added to every advertiser's AdWords.
"In a nutshell, it regulates keyword-level bids, promising to deliver as many conversions as possible, at or below a cost-per-conversion you specify," he says.
Mr Szetela calls this automated bid management the "Holy Grail" which monitors conversion behaviour several times per day and adjusts keyword bids.
This allows advertisers to secure bids at or below their specified cost as the bid optimisation algorithms take into consideration data unique to Google, with geographic locations also factored in.
However, while Google may have found the Holy Grail, it has only this week found the time to address reports that its FeedBurner has not been working.
Matt McGee, writing on the online pages of Search Engine Land, states that several FeedBurner users recently experienced their feeds going dead when switching to a new platform.
Google has now announced a new blog for users to visit for technical updates about the tool.
