Warning over way into Google SEO

Many businesses are now taking advantage of two key ways to achieve higher Google search engine optimisation (SEO) results, but such techniques may not always be recommended, one sector commentator has claimed.

Phillip Lensses, cited on the online pages of the Axandra, said the first trick was to see if the address of the company was anywhere near a city centre or main station.

By submitting those contact details to Google Maps, the information will then be linked higher in local search results, causing them to also climb in regular ranking, he claimed.

Another less simple trick, Mr Lensses, stated was having employees go to various internet cafes and search for a firm's keywords before clicking on their site as this can also help SEO improve.

However, he concluded that these were in fact known as spam techniques and that Google is able to completely remove a website from search results if this is discovered.

Meanwhile, SEOMoz notes that many businesses are unsure what to do with their list of keywords once they have one.
